Shetek Home Care
Shetek Home Care provides comprehensive personalized health care services to clients of all ages in the privacy and comfort of their own homes. Staff work with you and your doctor to develop a care plan that fits your needs and schedule. Services that are ordered by your doctor can be provided to you up to 7 days per week. Shetek Home Care provides services within a 30-mile radius of Slayton, Tracy and Westbrook, including parts of Lyon, Redwood, Murray and Cottonwood counties. Shetek Home Care is Medicare certified and has a Class A License from the Minnesota Department of Health.
- Nursing services: are provided by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Services include skilled assessments, management and evaluation of plan of care, IV therapy, wound care, medication management, diabetic teaching and management, education and supervision of home health aides.
- Home Health aides: assist in bathing, grooming and light housekeeping.
- Therapy services: offered include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.
- Blood pressure clinics and toenail clinics: are offered monthly.
Shetek Home Care has in-home telehealth patient care monitoring available. This system promotes clients to self manage his/her disease or illness. The system can measure heart rate, blood pressure, weight and oxygen levels and ask up to 10 subjective questions about the individual's health. This information is sent to a central station at the home health office where nurses are alerted to abnormal readings that require intervention with a phone call from the nurse.
